“Everyday, marami akong pulis na namamatay pati sundalo namamatay because they are also into the drug campaign. I have raised the matter of drug contamination as a security threat to the country. It is a security threat to the country,” he said.
Duterte pledged during his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) that the illegal drugs war will not be sidelined.
President Duterte mulls sending a frigate if kidnapped Filipinos in Libya are hurt
The Chief Executive will bring up in a command conference next week his plan of sending a frigate “if they begin to hurt” three Filipinos abducted last month in Libya.
“You know, I am not joking. Magpadala rin ako… If they begin to hurt the Filipinos there, ‘yung tatlo, magpadala ako ng frigate. Magpadala talaga ako doon,” he said.
“I will decide within the next… May command conference ako eh. I think it’s Tuesday? August 7… I’ll bring it up soon,” he added.
During his speech, the President also reiterated his commitment that every Filipino should benefit from government funds.
“And my order to Diokno is lahat. No, no, no political color. Bigyan mo lahat. You spread the money of the Republic of the Philippines so that all will benefit,” he said.###(PND)
